Questions / answers:
Q. What is a monogram?
A. A monogram is a professional term which covers a group of letters or symbols used to define an emblem, whose purpose is to identify a brand, a seal or a signature. The term Monogram is often used by automobile manufacturers.
Q. Is a monogram always made of plastic?
A. Monograms may be made of metal, zamak, aluminium, etc.... MIP is specialised in plastic monograms. We chose Plastic as it has many advantages in terms of weight and production output. For these reasons, plastic has progressively replaced most other supports. Most automobile manufacturers opt for products made of plastic which have very good properties.
Q. Does industrial production always require minimum quantities?
A. Yes. However, MIP is specialised in manufacturing monograms in small and medium sized batches. However the capacity of our production equipment also enables us to mass produce parts with high outputs. The parts concerned are generally for the automobile industry
Q. Can parts be manufactured again even a long time after the first order?
A. Yes. You need to place an order. MIP conserves all of its tooling and moulds. The cost of the tooling is paid only once, provided that the logo is not modified.
Q. Does the creation of a part by MIP have to include the drafting of specifications?
A. No, not necessarily. It is preferable to define the constraints of your requirement precisely, which are generally defined in the specifications. However, MIP's process and more specifically the project review are elements which permit the specifications required to accomplish your project to be defined. Most often, and depending on the complexity of the part, the project team asks for specifications to be drafted.
Q. Are the monograms guaranteed?
A. All of MIP's monograms are guaranteed with respect to the requirements defined at the beginning of the contract. In the event of a non conformity, the products will be immediately replaced. The materials used to manufacture the logos are generally approved to automobile standards.
Q. Where are the monograms produced?
A. The monograms are produced on the Beynost site, in the Ain region in France.
