Industrialisation, the crucial phase for MIP

The industrialisation step is the key process to which MIP has added innovation!

MIP has considerably developed and strengthened its industrialisation activities to ensure that all of the technologies used to manufacture monograms and injected, decorated and adhesive-coated parts achieve a level of productivity and quality which satisfy the objectives set by the customer and MIP.  

Faced with the technological revolution in recent years, MIP has rose to the challenge by investing in efficient and innovative machines. MIP has automatic and semi-automatic machines.

In the industrialisation process, each step of the manufacture is controlled by quality checks, and by achieving production output rates.

At each step, MIP qualifies its machines, its production means, its inspection tooling and the qualification of its employees.

MIP makes its own moulds, injection moulds for 3D logos.

MIP has an engineering workshop with milling machines, lathes, NC electro-erosion machines, ED polishing, etc.

From when it was created, MIP decided to integrate the manufacture of its injection and decoration tooling in-house. This strategy offers you strong reactivity and flexibility in the development of your monograms made from injected plastic.

The polishing of the moulds is also carried out in-house. The tooling unit is also responsible for the preventive maintenance of the plastivc injection moulds.

 

MIP produces pre-production batches of emblems and monograms to validate the feasibility and capacity to produce in series

The equipment and its reactivity allows MIP to be very competitive for pre-production batches.

Our injection presses for injecting plastics is equipped with robots, mills, belts and other peripheral devices which allow pre-production batch parts to be made for the initial validation of parts from the production tooling (also called FOT parts) or to make initial samples (also called E.I. or PPAP parts).

Our range of decoration machines for logos and plastic parts are available to permit rapid production of pre-production batches of parts to validate initial samples prior to the production launch.

MIP can also provide solutions for the attachment of the parts made.

Almost all of MIP's logos are supplied with double-sided adhesive. The adhesives proposed by MIP are foams which are designed to attach logos and monograms. They are products which are approved by and for the automobile industry.

The double-sided adhesive foams used to attach the monograms are specifically designed for attaching logos and plastic parts onto supports with low surface energy, whilst ensuring excellent adhesion onto bodywork, metals and plastics with high surface energy.

MIP has innovative, specialised machines for cutting out adhesives and applying adhesives onto logos, 3D monograms and plastic parts. Similarly to plastic injection and the decoration of plastic, MIP has a range of adhesive cutting machines using lasers or cutters.

MIP also has assembly machines. These processes allow MIP to make pre-production parts, validate initial samples  prior to launching series production.

Furthermore, MIP can also propose assembly solutions other than double-sided adhesives (retaining washers, rivets, welding, heading…)
