MIP and chromed plastic: electro-deposited chroming

MIP proposes the electro-deposited chroming or electrolytic bath chroming techniques.

MIP offers its customers electro-deposited or electrolytic bath finishes.

Electro-depositing, also called chroming, is a decorative process used by MIP to protect and embellish its logos by metal coating the plastic using a high butadiene content.

This process permits a metal to be deposited on the surface of a plastic part or a plastic logo by means of an electrical current (electrolysis).

This deposit is composed of copper, nickel and chrome.

The depositing processes used make the logos exceptionally hard wearing regardless of the environment in which the product is used.

MIP proposes 3D emblems and parts with complex forms which adopt perfectly the appearance of the chrome.
